One of the first things I was taught as a child was, if something moves you, take a deep
breath and let it all in. Well, I was touched by music. I remember my grandmother listening
to bluegrass and country. She would dance around in the kitchen listening to that one-speaker
old fashion AM radio. My mother was the next person I remember influencing me with her love
of clogging/dancing. Music was so charging. It was like you had a battery stuck in your pocket
that was connected to you. Just a wonderful feeling, the smiling and the way you let it just surge thru
you. Well I become so engulfed with it that I tried everyway to connect to it. Dancing and
singing, I guess that was it. I was hooked. 42 years later I am involved in making those
marvelous feelings – Music.
There is nothing more wonderful than watching a person start tapping their foot or shaking their head to the beat. The smiles or tears that evolve when you touch someone's heart with a sad song or a really good tune just gets me. There is nothing more satisfying to a singer or musician. I love it. Who is TW? I guess I have to say I am just like everyone else. I have problems and bills. I have a normal job and family. I am a strong believer in individuality. Be yourself, no masks or fake fronts. Don’t be anyone else other than who you are or who you want to be. Don’t limit yourself. We all have choices and we will make mistakes but, be man or woman enough to take the good with the bad. I like all styles of music. I was certainly influenced more with bluegrass, country, and gospel. Early popular rock/top 40 I enjoy as my second best. With our guys in the band, we all have been influenced from different styles but it meshes well. It gives Double Cross that bite. We use it to our advantage. Yes I am single. I have a hard time with relationships and who I want to be with. I think my problem is I haven’t met the right person. To sum up, I am pleased to be working with the best band in our area and I think it can’t be matched. I work with the best guys, I have my mom involved with stage crew and merchandise sales, we play at the best venues and we have the worlds Best Fans! Theodore Van Son Jr aka Theodore Wolfe |
